On October 4, 2023, with the 400 ton crawler crane operating at full capacity, after nearly two hours of construction work, the first section of the steel crossbeam of the main line of the Guangzhou Baiyun Municipal Engineering Section 6 project, which was jointly constructed by Zhonghengfeng Construction Group Co., Ltd., was stably placed in the reserved position for beam erection. The successful hoisting of steel crossbeams marks the official launch of the mainline steel box girder hoisting for the "Guangzhou Baiyun Municipal 6 Project", and also accelerates the overall goal of Baiyun Station to meet the opening conditions by the end of the year.
The steel crossbeam on the right side of Tangxi Section 6 was lifted this time. The steel box girder was divided into 18 sections and manufactured in the factory, and transported to the site in 72 small sections. The total weight was 1500 tons. In order to successfully lift such a large steel box girder, with a single weight of 180 tons, the project department used a 400 ton crawler crane to smoothly start the lifting, effectively ensuring construction safety and accuracy.
The right steel box girder is designed as a hidden steel crossbeam, and the on-site construction conditions are harsh, which poses a huge challenge to the lifting work. At the same time, it intersects with multiple ramps, crosses the Tancun River, and intersects with multiple units for construction, resulting in many construction avoidance problems. The project has four steel box girders, A ramp B ramp, left main line, and right main line. The lifting construction of the steel box girder has a total weight of over 6000 tons and is expected to be completed by the end of October.
